trans·for·ma·tion - ˌtran(t)sfərˈmāSH(ə)n/ : noun
A thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance.
synonyms:change, alteration, mutation, conversion, metamorphosis, transfiguration, transmutation, sea change.
If we truly seek to change, we must have the intention of transformation. We can change things about our life...jobs, partners, locations, etc., but we are essentially the same. We have only altered our situation, not changed ourselves.
True change is an inside job...often with outside help. Although we can receive great help and guidance in transforming ourselves, we must ultimately walk it alone. This is where transformation takes on it's authenticity. Most often this transformation comes from a desire to eliminate pain. Pain is life's way of letting us know that we need to do something. Often we fear the change that we so desperately need and resign ourselves to a life of quiet desperation.
If we give ourselves a break, surrender to the reality of our pain, and put forth the necessary intention to transform ourselves...we can work miracles. When this happens, the answers will come to us, the courage will find us, and acting as our higher selves we can experience authentic transformation. This also requires a certain amount of faith, in ourselves, in the process, and in the universe. Give yourself the gift of faith...let go.
