Begin Again

Often when practicing mindfulness meditation we find ourselves falling back into our egoic mind and have to pause, note that we have fallen away from the present moment and begin again. If we are diligent in our practice we have to do this over and over again. In fact, this is our practice. Beginning over and over again by bringing our attention into full awareness of the present moment.

After a while we notice that every moment is a new beginning. Then we find that there really is no end to a moment, just a beginning. After some time we may realize that since the beginning is all there really seems to be, and there is no end, that the current moment is really just one constant beginning emerging infinitely. It is so liberating, and leads to the realization that all we are is a becoming of the infinite. This is where our perception of reality meets the sacred and we feel we are dwelling in the divine. This is the gift of practice...to realize the miracle of reality.
